Couple relationships through the life span: This seminar can be constricted to fit a 1 - 2 hour format or it can be expanded to fit three two-hour sessions. The content is focused on three developmental stages of couple relationships and the tasks that are required in each stage.
The art of helping: This presentation is designed for church groups or other peer assistance that offer help to others. Basic listening skills are covered.
Stress management "How to manage stress before it manages you": This presentation can be done in one hour or 4 - 5 hour time slot. The definition and consequences of stress/anxiety are discussed along with interventions that have been shown to minimize the negative results of stress.
Mental health treatment and spirituality: This seminar is for mental health professionals who ma work with clients who have a religious orientation or who may have religious issues. It is usually given in a 3 - 4 hour format.
Attitudes toward mental illness: This seminar is more of an awareness expanding presentation that covers the definition of mental illness, the history of how we have seen and treated people with mental illnesses, and the possibilities for future directions in the way society deals with mental illness. Suitable for church groups or civic groups. 1 - 2 hours.
Mental disorders (I can talk on any of them e.g. depression, schizophrenia, dissocialize identity disorder etc): The symptoms, causes, and treatments are covered. 1 - 2 hours.
Bowen systems theory and leadership: A look at leadership (i.e. churches, business, academic, etc.) from the perspective of Bowen theory. Conceptual and practical applications are covered. Can be done in a 1 hour format or an all day seminar. I could also do this as a three year, three times a year training program for those who could commit to that length of time.
Personality disorders: The diagnosis, etiology and treatment of personality disorders are covered in this seminar. I have done it as a half-day workshop for mental health professionals or as an introduction to the world of personality disorders for lay people.
Pedophilia and child molesters: Not the most wholesome of topics but for groups who would like to know about this population (i.e. church groups hiring youth leaders, etc.). I could introduce them to the realities of the world of sex offenders.
Sexual disorders: Disorders of the sexual response cycle (i.e. problems with sexual appetite, sexual arousal, orgasm and/or coital pain) could be covered together (as an introduction) or separately (in greater depth). Could be done in 1 hour or up to 3 hours.
Meditation: This is a 3 - 5 part series designed to take Christian-Western types that have never heard of meditation practices and introduce them to the goals and techniques of different types of traditional meditation.
